Semaglutide Plus Weight Loss Program

What Is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a peptide that mimics a hormone that your body produces called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). GLP-1 targets the area of the brain that regulates appetite. Semaglutide is a powerful appetite suppressant that also works by increasing yours bodies production of insulin and at the same time inhibiting the production of glucagon, a hormone that your body makes that increases blood sugar.

How Does Semaglutide Work?

Semaglutide works in multiple ways, including delaying the emptying of your stomach, slowing the contractions of muscles that propel food through your intestinal tract, lowering your blood sugar by stimulating the secretion of insulin from your pancreas, and acting on your brain to make you feel full sooner.

How Much Does The Semaglutide Weight Loss Program Cost?

Brand-name semaglutide medications such as Wegovy®, Ozembic® or Rybelsus® if not covered by insurance can cost $1,800.00 to $4,500.00 for your first three months when purchased from a commercial pharmacy. At Dr. Q’s TWLC we offer compounded semaglutide with pyridoxine (vit B6) for a substantial savings when you join our Semaglutide Weight Loss Program.
