Description

It’s time to roll out your yoga mat and discover the combination of physical and mental exercises that for thousands of years have hooked yoga practitioners around the globe. The beauty of yoga is that you don’t have to be a yogi or yogini to reap the benefits. Whether you are young or old, overweight or fit, yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. Don’t be intimidated by yoga terminology, fancy yoga studios and complicated poses. Yoga is for everyone.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. Some poses can also be done standing using a chair for support. Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain.

Restorative yoga focuses on the practices of asanas and is a gentle yoga that brings rest to the body. Poses are positions usually helped with blocks, and other yoga props. Restorative yoga focuses on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing to create relaxation in the body and mind. Appropriate for all levels and made to invoke a deep sense of relaxation on all levels without straining the body.
Vinyasa yoga is characterized by stringing poses together so that you move from one position to another, seamlessly, using your breath to invoke stillness. This type of yoga is referred to as “flow” yoga, sometimes confused with Power Yoga. It uses breath to align the body and mind. Through this, you’ll develop a stronger mind-body connection and grow in strength and flexibility. Vinyasa yoga is a fun and great way to build community and get a sense of variety, as no two classes are ever the same.
Vin-Yin Yoga uses passive poses held anywhere on average 3-5 minutes to lengthen the connective tissue around the muscles. Vin-Yin Yoga Improves flexibility and brings balance back into the body from living busy lives.
